Before getting in over our heads I want to start with the basics, where all things began. Thought! This sofa that I am sitting on existed in the mind of someone before it was manufactured and manifested into reality.  Leaders are not brought about because they want to step up, but are brought into existence by the mentality of the group that asked for a leader.  It follows too that every word I am writing at this moment had its beginnings in my mind.  The common thread that connects us all is our mind, the collective conscious that gains energy based on the thoughts of all people.

There is a certain basic natural rule that is just recently gaining more popularity.  It’s a law that has always existed and will never cease to exist.  The Law of Attraction works with our minds to give us what we are feeling and thinking.  It does not punish or reward based on who we are, but instead gives each of us exactly what we believe is true.  The news is a great thing because it informs us of the world’s general energy level.  When the things being reported seem negative, the general outlook of the world is not at it’s best and vice versa.

The fact is that the meaning we all give towards something is extremely important.  The unemployment rate rising is neither good nor bad, it just is. That’s the fact: the unemployment rate is rising.  When people hear this the thoughts that come to mind tend to be negative – jobs are being lost, less jobs to apply for, not as much money everywhere, etc.  The thoughts are natural but the more people talk negatively about it, worry more, fear more, complain more the more negative energy it gathers from everyone and the belief that there is a huge problem comes true.  Just like negative energy grows more when the negative thoughts continue, so does positive energy when positive thoughts are projected. 

Fear is not a positive thing. It stops people from moving on things that they may love.  Fear of the economy affecting everyone is stopping so many people from pursuing their passions in their careers, taking that vacation they deserve or even buying their dream home.   The initial negatives that come into our minds serve a great purpose, and that is to make a conscious decision to think positively and believe in a positive outcome.  Thinking negatively is a habit that we have all developed as humans, but that habit can be replaced with an attitude more beneficial to all.  The power of positive thought is not limiting.  It allows for the Universe to work its mysterious ways and bring forth our positive thoughts.

If each of us can take a small step in the direction of positive thought, eventually it will gain enough energy for all of the beautiful and wonderful ideas we believe in to take shape.  Our beliefs are what create our world and in the Universe, time does not exist.  Therefore we can have everything we want right now as long as we believe and feel it!  Imagine what we can do when we all work towards something greater without even having to leave our our houses… just think positively!

So let’s work together to improve the “economic crisis” and this “recession.”  Something simple we can all do to contribute is each time you hear or see anything that shows there is a “recession,” use it as a reminder to think positively.  Using your mind you can send out thoughts of love to everyone and feel how happy and stress free people can be with all the financial abundance they wanted.  You can imagine all of the smiles that people will smile as they receive news that there is no more unemployment rate and that businesses and people’s morales are at an all time high!  Use your creative imagination to really feel all of the love that would stir inside of people. 

Why not try it?  Be part of the solution to this so-called “crisis.”  Together we can end it, stop wars, stop pain, stop fear and give love.

Although there are many ways to prevent “catching an emotion” below are some suggestions that can be used at any time:
1- Take 3 long deep breaths. On the first breath recognize the feeling you are experiencing. On the second breath, ask yourself when that emotion began and what was happening at the time. Finally, on the 3rd breath decide if it was really your own emotion or if you got caught up in someone else’s feelings. Usually, if the emotion appeared after being in a trance like state (driving long distance, daydreaming, “zoning out”) it was probably your own emotions brought about whatever it was you were daydreaming about. Your thoughts can easily become elaborate stories and trigger your feelings.

2- Recognize the reactions people around you are having. One example can be when you are walking down the sidewalk and there is a person angrily yelling on their phone about a frustrating situation. As you hear this, you begin to get agitated and worked up yourself. This is NOT your own feelings but instead you are sensing the same frustrations as the person whose energy is strong and at close proximity to you. At this point, continuing to be agitated will do you no good as essentially there was nothing that you are frustrated about in the first place.

3- This is my personal favorite because it is the easiest for me to do at anytime. Imagine a bright white beam of light glowing from above the top of your head and passing through the bottom of your feet. As I do this, I visualize my nose, lips, spine and hips lining up and centering my energy. As I do this my body usually also releases a lot of tension and my posture improves. I visualize the beam of light slowly pulsating – brighter, dimmer, brighter, dimmer – and my breath parallels it. In essence, I’ve centered myself within 2 minutes of this exercise.

Not all of these will work for everyone, but then again we are all unique individuals with different likes and dislikes. If you’ve found one method works better for you than another, then great! You’ve found your method. If not, don’t lose hope. Centering yourself takes a conscious effort that begins with first being aware of your surroundings. This takes practice and as you do, you’ll find it will become easier and more natural.

At the end of a dream I was sitting on a school bus and an orange and blue Ying Yang symbol appeared within a floating ball of fire.  It was as if balance was at arms reach and we all just needed to follow and grasp it

I knew that this is where the world is headed.  Needless to say, I woke up refreshed and renewed – physically and spiritually.

I’d like to start off by saying that this post is really for me to vent a bit and to get some energy out of my system.  But at the same time,  I hope that everyone, including myself, takes away something positive from it.

So here it goes.  The past 2 weeks for me have been ridiculously trying.  It seems as if every time I have taken 3 steps forward, I need to take 2 steps back.  Essentially this means I am only taking 1 step at a time.  For me, this seems a bit slow.  At the same time, I have begun reading Napoleon Hill’s book Think and Grow Rich.  It happened to have been something I have been seeing frequently and so I know the Universe was pushing me towards it. One part that has been on my mind has to do with how most people usually experience a chaotic and hopeless moment before they reach an important turning point in their lives or awareness.  Rockbottom.  I’m not saying I’ve hit rockbottom, but I’m admitting to having had a low point now and then.  There are just some things that I want now that I’m not getting.  And that is what’s making my world seem somewhat chaotic.

Patience is key.  It is something that I have always known that I need to work on and now the Universe is really making me learn about it. I have been thinking about what other ways I can go about things to get to my goal and I’m trying hard to be patient while actively seeking answers… from my Guides, my Higher Self and of course, from logic and reasoning.  So wait I shall.

It isn’t always easy but it does make it easier to know that all this is happening for a reason and after it is all said and done, I’m going to have figured out the perfect resolutions.

From me to you, after the storm there is calm.  So let’s be patient together and see where it takes us.  Let’s stay positive and never lose faith that everything happens for a reason and that it is always for our higher good.

Is there a specific religion you have to believe in to get it to work for you? No.  Will you be able to have even the things that seem impossible?  Most things, yes.  The reason I say most things is because the Law of Attraction is not the only spiritual law – it interacts with other laws such as Law of Cause and Effect (Karma), Law of Prosperity, Law of Repulsion, as well as several other ones.

Why see a trained psychic as opposed to an untrained psychic or even worse, *gasp* a fortune-teller?

I don’t normally like to focus on the negative side of things first, but in this case I find it very appropriate.  Some of the cons of seeing an untrained psychic is that they may not know how to communicate the information to you clearly.  They can even unintentionally alter the message from Spirit and give you advice that they believe in.  If that were the case, then why not see someone who can just give you their own opinion?  Untrained psychics may also lack the ability to work with all of their paraphysical senses, missing a lot of information that could otherwise be communicated to you by a trained psychic medium.

The cons of seeing a fortune-teller are far worse, in my own opinion, than seeing an untrained psychic medium.  There are so many reasons NOT to go to a fortuneteller that I decided to put them into a list:

1 – fake:  I cannot stress enough how so many of the fortune tellers (NYC has an abundance of them) are fake.  Instead they are actors looking to make A LOT of money from their victims

2- unethical: If the fortune-teller that you go to happens to also have true psychic abilities you’ve found a gem right?  Wrong.  Even people with actual psychic abilities can be one of the ones who will read your palm or cards for $10.  You walk in and right away they can detect a “curse” on you and that everyone around you is so jealous of you.  They will tell you not to worry because they can lift the “curse” off of you.  The price?  $200 for the next session which will include bath salts, a spell, etc.  But that’s not the end of it.  They also tell you that you will have to return to them 3 more times to make sure the spell is working as it should.  By this point the actual cost of the reading is thousands and thousands of dollars.

My point?  Seeing a  natural and trained psychic medium, such as myself, will be worth it.  No spells, no curses, no lies.  After all, would someone actually tell you your future for $10??

Suddenly I remember becoming aware of a male spirit that approached me.  I was frightened by how sudden it was and I say “John Doe”  **and yes, I am not giving you the real name of the person that I said it was**  I look at the person sleeping next to me and they say “I feel the vibration.”  So in my dream as I am about to get up to move, my cat that is lying on the bed bites me so hard! – in waking life she never bites.  And that is when I actually wake up.

My cat is in the same position – sans the biting me – the person sleeping next to me is still there and I am in the exact same position I was in during my dream.  The first thing I think about is how this spirit is trying to communicate with me.  He is someone that I knew 15 years ago and I know he has died somewhat recently, but communicate with me??  I could sense that his spirit was around my bed somewhere – mainly by the foot of my bed.  I also strongly sensed that he was angry about something and that he wanted to speak to his parents, but mostly his mother.  Along with all of these feelings that I was getting, I started getting the very clear vision of a basement and a couch that I felt he used to sit on.

I don’t know anything about him.  I haven’t seen him in about 15 years and just heard that he died from health complications.  That was the extent of my knowledge of him.  I had a feeling that there was something trying to manifest physically by the foot of my bed, but when I looked there was nothing.  That does not discount what I knew I felt so strongly.

I realized that my adult cat (not my kitten that I mentioned before) that does not normally sleep on the bed was lying in between me and the other person in bed.  He started staring in the direction I felt there was a presence and growled and showed his teeth!  He never does this.  I have to admit that I was startled because I could feel the spirit of John Doe telling me that he wants to speak to his mother.  It was intense.  In my head I kept repeating his name and the vision of the basement was dominating my thoughts.

I fell asleep after two or three hours and the next morning woke up with his name in my head, including a letter I felt was the initial of his middle name.  I looked him up online and guess what?  I was right.  His middle initial was what I had in my mind.

I’m not scared of spirits.  I’m not frightened by them nor am I threatened by them.  I just wish that if they wanted to communicate with me that they would always do it during my normal waking hours – hey, if I’m going to communicate with them, I’ll be needing all of the sleep and rest that I could have.
